PANE IN THE GLASS PRODUCTIONS

 THE GATE

I swore I’d never fall in love again,
'Cause it’s a state of mind where no one wins,
But then you came into my quiet life,
And filled my settled heart with inner strife.

I know I said you couldn’t have my heart,
But I’m finding out it’s hard to be apart.
You’re here, even when you’re out of sight.
The chemistry between us is just right.

So I’ll meet you at the gate,
And I can hardly wait.
You said be there at half past eight.
Now, hurry up and don’t be late.
